1. Swan Terrace
This runs next to the beautiful St. Clements Church which appears in the show every time Honeysuckle Weeks' character Sam drives up to the house of Michael Kitchen's character DCI Foyle. The church was used in a scene where Sam and DCI Foyle are together on the National Day of Prayer. At the bottom of the Terrace is a memorial garden (see the slideshow) where the Swan Inn once stood. It was destroyed in a German air raid during World War II.
2. Croft Road
This is where the show's lead character DCI Foyle lives (although it's called Steep Street in the show). During filming, latex is used to conceal the double yellow lines and all street signage is removed to help create the show's 1940s setting. See the Slideshow to have a look at how the crew manage to film in such a narrow space.
3. Old Town Museum of Local History

Fans of the show will enjoy the museum's unique collection of World War II exhibits that includes everything from gas masks to ration books.
4. The Stade
Used extensively in the episode 'The White Feather'. Hastings Fishermen were used as extras to help recreate the Dunkirk evacuation. See the slideshow.
5. The Net Huts
See Nethuts for a better look at these remarkable landmarks. They were used in the episode 'The German Woman' to create a chase/suspense sequence.
6. The Royal Victoria Hotel

See Burtons St Leonards for the location of one of the town's most historic buildings. This hotel exterior was used in the episode 'Eagle Day' and we had to temporarily close one of the United Kingdom's busiest roads!
7. The Pier
Rubber barbed wire was set up on the beach beneath the pier for a scene in an early episode.
9. Maze Hill
Part of Burtons St Leonards, this area was used for a number of 'generic' driving scenes and rooftop master shots that are used throughout the episodes!
